Utrecht on a Sunday afternoon

Last Sunday we visited the old town centre of Utrecht. It was a nice day and the town was filled with a lazy atmosphere. Just like a Sunday afternoon in summer should be.

Statue next to the Dom in Utrecht. It was erected in 1949 to remember the struggle for freedom against the Germans during the second world war. The resistance in Utrecht consisted of many women, hence the female statue!
